Who we are

This site belongs to Recanto Cataratas Hotel e Convention Ltda, Brazilian company ID (CNPJ) 32.253.887/0001-16, Av. Costa e Silva, 3500, Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil. We are the controller of the personal data handled here, under Brazil's data protection law (LGPD).

What we collect

• Site forms (contact, events, groups and offers sign-up): name, email, phone or WhatsApp number and whatever you write, such as dates, number of people, company or agency.
• Bookings: made in our booking engine, run by a technology partner hired by the resort. The details you enter there are used to process and confirm your booking.
• Browsing: pages visited, where the visit came from (search, social media, campaign), device type, browser and approximate city.

Audience measurement

This site uses its own audience measurement. It relies on an anonymous identifier stored in your browser, which lets us count visits and see how people move through the site without knowing who you are. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

If you submit a form, the submission is linked to that identifier so we know which page or campaign brought the inquiry. You can delete the identifier at any time by clearing your browser data.

How we use it

• to reply to your inquiry and send proposals for stays, groups or events;
• to process bookings and meet the legal requirements for hotels;
• to send offers by email or WhatsApp, only if you signed up for them;
• to understand which pages and campaigns work best, using aggregated data.

Who we share it with

With vendors that run services for the resort, such as the booking engine and email and messaging tools, only for the purposes above, and with authorities when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

For as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or to meet a legal obligation. After that, the data is deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

Under the LGPD, you can ask for:

• confirmation that we process your data;
• access to your data;
• correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, or data processed in breach of the law;
• portability of your data to another provider, under the applicable regulations;
• deletion of data processed with your consent, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• information on who we share your data with;
• information on your option not to consent and what happens if you don't;
• withdrawal of consent, at any time.
